Terrell Owens announces Seahawks dumping him

Could be final chance for veteran wide receiver Brad Biggs

Terrell Owens’ comeback bid may be over.

It is with the Seattle Seahawks, anyway.

Owens announced via Twitter that he has been cut loose by the club, meaning they will terminate his contract as a vested veteran. Owens, 38, has not played in the NFL since 2010 and it’s hard to imagine another opportunity opening for him given his reputation and overflowing carry-on baggage.

“I'm no longer a Seahawk. I THANK the organization 4 the opportunity, I'm truly blessed beyond belief. My FAITH is intact & will NOT waiver,” Owens wrote.

The Seahawks, after all, have become the Last Chance Saloon in the NFL with Pete Carroll running the show.
