Running back has dealt with occasional irregular heartbeat since age 12. Terry McCormick
Houston Texans running back Arian Foster might be undergoing a heart procedure in an attempt to correct an irregular heartbeat, according to the NFL Network.
Foster left the Texans game against the Minnesota Vikings in December when his heart began to beat at a rapid and uncontrollable pace. It was the first time it had happened in a game, though Foster has had about eight incidents of the irregular heartbeat since the age of 12.
According to the report, former NBA star Hakeem Olajuwon had a similar condition and had a procedure done to correct the problem.
