Houston Texans coach Gary Kubiak collapsed on the field walking off the field at halftime against the Indianapolis Colts. He was hospitalized and a heart attack was ruled out.

"Houston Texans Head Coach Gary Kubiak has been taken to a local hospital," the Texans said in a statement. "He is conscious and his family is with him.  Further information on Kubiak’s condition will be provided when it becomes available."

Defensive coordinator Wade Phillips took over for Kubiak.

Kubiak, 52, went down to his knees, but was never unconscious.

He was taken off the field on a stretcher.
