From Paul Kuharsky of ESPN.com:
APSteve Slaton
The Houston Texans have placed second-year running back Steve Slaton on injured reserve with a shoulder problem, ending his season.
As a rookie, Slaton, a third-round pick from West Virginia, led the team with 1,282 rushing yards and nine TDs. He also caught 50 passes.
But Slaton's sophomore season wasn't nearly as good, as he struggled with fumbles. He finishes the season with 434 rushing yards, averaging 3.3 yards per carry, and caught 44 catches for 417 yards in 11 games.
Chris Henry will be promoted from the practice squad to fill the roster spot, while Chris Brown is expected to get the bulk of the carries, as he did in Sunday's loss in Jacksonville, when Slaton was inactive.
