Houston Texans defensive end TIm Bulman is a candidate for injured reserve with his troublesome shoulder injury.

He's not going to be back anytime soon," Texans coach Gary Kubiak said in remarks distributed by the team. "We'll continue to evaluate his shoulder and see exactly what the final result is going to be."

The Texans have tried out three defensive ends this week, but didn't immediately sign Dewayne White, Raheem Brock or James Wyche.

Plus, Pro Bowl defensive end Mario Williams is working his way back from a hip injury. He also has pelvic and groin soreness.

According to Kubiak: "We're not in need of one as we head into the weekend, but as we move forward, we could be short of bodies, especially with the way we're bringing Mario along slowly."
