Texans cut Reeves, Brown and Booty

Besides cutting kicker Kris Brown, the Houston Texans also cut cornerback Jacques Reeves and quarterback John David Booty.

Booty may be signed to the practice squad.

The Texans will retain Dan Orlovsky as their backup quarterback even after he threw two interceptions in a preseason loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Plus, the Texans plan to place wide receiver Andre Davis (hip) on injured reserve.

Linebacker Danny Clark hasn't been released, according to coach Gary Kubiak.

The Texans don't plan to put wide receiver Dorin Dickerson on the practice squad.

“I’m not worried about that at all," Kubiak said. "It’s not going to happen."
