Texans hope to interview Lovie Smith, to start Case Keenum rest of season
The Houston Texans hope to interview former Chicago Bears coach Lovie Smith, owner Bob McNair announced today.
Smith was fired last season and replaced by Marc Trestman in Chicago.
Meanwhile, the Texans plan to stick with Case Keenum as the starting quarterback for the remainder of the season after he was replaced by Matt Schaub during the loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars that was the final game for fired coach Gary Kubiak.
"Case is going to be the quarterback, and we're going to give him a chance," McNair said.
