Texans open to trading first overall pick

The Houston Texans don't appear set on using their first overall pick in the 2014 draft.

Speaking to reporters Friday, Texans owner Bob McNair said that trading the first pick will be an option the organization looks at early this offseason.

"Maybe we'll trade down and still get a quarterback that can do the job and get an outstanding defensive player," McNair said, via ESPN.com. "It's an exciting time. Everything's a moving target. Lot of different pieces."

The Texans began the season with high hopes of a playoff run but crashed and burned to a 2-14 finish.
