Texans placed Quessenberry on reserve list

Offensive tackle dealing with lymphoma Aaron Wilson

The Houston Texans placed offensive tackle David Quessenberry on the non-football illness list.

He's dealing with lymphoma and has promised to "kick cancer's butt."

The Texans also placed safety Lonnie Ballentine on injured reserve.

The Texans cut guard Sam Longo, wide receiver Joe Adams, wide receiver Alec Lemon, running back William Powell, defensive tackle David Hunter, defensive tackle Austin Brown, linebacker Terrance Lloyd, linebacker Lawrence Sidbury and cornerback Junior Mertile.
