The Houston Texans have listed themes for all of their 2013 home games, and a Dec. 1 game at Reliant Stadium against the New England Patriots simply is listed as "homecoming."
We're not really sure what that means at the NFL level. Will the local chapter of Kappa Sigma have a party at the frat house after the game? Will there be a homecoming queen crowned at halftime and kissed by a Texans player who presents her with roses and a tiara?
And why didn't they do like most teams and schedule a patsy like Savannah State? By the way, both the Raiders and Jaguars are on the Texans' home schedule. One of those teams would have been the perfect homecoming opponent. The Texans haven't exactly had the Patriots' number of late, getting blown out in the regular season and then losing by double digits in the playoffs to New England.
At any rate, I can't wait to hear Bill Belichick's pre-game speech to the Patriots at being dissed by being made the Texans' homecoming opponent.
