The Houston Texans have signed former Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Derrick Townsel, according to his agent, Harold Bicknell.
Townsel is an undrafted rookie from Murray State.
He caught 153 career passes for 1,712 yards and five touchdowns.'
He was cut by the Jaguars last week when they signed linebacker Rod Wilson.
The Texans are looking for depth in the return game because rookie speedster Trindon Holliday is dealing with an injured thumb.
