Rookie cornerback receives four-year deal Aaron Wilson

The Houston Texans have struck a four-year deal with rookie cornerback Sherrick McManis, their fifth-round draft pick from Northwestern.

McManis received a signing bonus of roughly $192,000, according to a league source.

The total base value of the deal is in the neighborhood of $1.98 million.

The 5-foot-11, 195-pounder recorded 201 career tackles, nine interceptions and 30 pass deflections.

Last season, McManis registered a career-high five interceptions.

As a junior, he intercepted two passes and posted a career-high 67 tackles and a dozen pass deflections.
