Texans sign seven draft picks

The Houston Texans have signed seven of their rookie draft picks.

That includes third-round nose tackle Louis Nix III (Notre Dame), fourth-round quarterback Tom Savage (Pittsburgh), sixth-round defensive end Jeoffrey Pagan (Alabama), sixth-round running back Alfred Blue (LSU), sixth-round fullback Jay Prosch (Auburn), seventh-round cornerback Andre Hal (Vanderbilt) and seventh-round safety Lonnie Ballentine (Memphis).

The Texans traded their first pick in the fourth and fifth rounds to Philadelphia to move up and select Nix III with the 83rd overall pick. Nix III was a preseason All-America selection, but had his season limited to eight games due to a knee injury. For his career, Nix III recorded 123 tackles, 14 tackles for loss and 2.5 sacks.
