The Houston Texans announced on Saturday that safety Ed Reed will be a game-time decision for Monday night's season opener against the San Diego Chargers.

Reed has been practicing, but is coming off a hip injury that cost him training camp and preseason.

Reed came over to the Texans after spending his entire NFL career with the Baltimore Ravens, but departed after Baltimore won the Super Bowl.
