Longhorns end had 4.5 sacks in Alamo Bowl, now working at Senior Bowl. Terry McCormick
MOBILE, Ala. _ Alex Okafor certainly had an impact in the final game of his collegiate career, producing 4.5 sacks in the Alamo Bowl as his Texas Longhorns defeated Oregon State.
Okafor said that performance put him on the radar in terms of the NFL. Now, this week at the Senior Bowl, he wants to show even more of what he is capable of.
“If anything it just got me some momentum going in. It definitely opened some eyes and made sure I'm on the watch list out here. I just want to show who I am and display my full skill set. Film says it all, but sometimes you can't catch everything on film. I just wanted to show what kind of player I am and what kind of athlete I am,” Okafor said.
Okafor has been working as part of the North squad and is one of a number of intriguing defensive end prospects here in Mobile this week.
