Titans, Griffin agree on five-year, $36 million deal

The Tennessee Titans and safety Michael Griffin have agreed on a five-year contract extension.
The deal is worth $36 million, according to TitanInsider.com, and contains a $9 million signing bonus and $15 million in guaranteed money.
The Titans had franchised Griffin this off-season with a $6.2 million franchise tender, which he had not signed. But he had signed a waiver to participate in all of the Titans' off-season program.
Griffin was the Titans' first-round pick in 2007 and has 17 career interceptions. He has also played in two Pro Bowls.
