Suspended former Saints defensive coordinator to return to Tennessee. Terry McCormick
Suspended assistant Gregg Williams, the central figure in the New Orleans Saints bounty scandal, is expected to join the Tennessee Titans in some capacity.
Williams was with the Titans first as a linebackers coach and was their defensive coordinator in the team's only Super Bowl season of 1999. He left in 2001 to become the Buffalo Bills head coach and has since made various stops around the league as a defensive coordinator.
Williams was given an indefinite suspension by Commissioner Roger Goodell for his part in running the Saints bounty system.
Williams' role has not yet been definied, but still has ties to the Titans, having known Coach Mike Munchak from his first stint with the Titans. He also has coached with Jerry Gray, who was Williams defensive coordinator with the Bills.
