Three new assistants brought in, three others shifted around, Loggains to stay as OC Terry McCormick
Tennessee Titans coach Mike Munchak, facing a critical year to turn the franchise's fortunes around, made three hires from the outside on Thursday and also shifted three other in-house coaches to new positions, per TitanInsider.
Dowell Loggains, promoted to offensive coordinator for the last five games of 2012, will remain in that role in 2013. To replace him, receivers coach Dave Ragone will move over and coach quarterbacks.
Shawn Jefferson, who coached Calvin Johnson to a record-setting season with Detroit, is the Titans new receivers coach, while Sylvester Croom takes over as running backs coach.
Nate Kaczor, who had been assistant offensive line coach, will replace Alan Lowry as special teams coordinator, while Chet Parlavecchio, the assistant special teams coach from last year, will coach linebackers.
George Henshaw, who coached with the franchise from 1997-2005, is back to coach tight ends again.
