The Tennessee Titans have signed unrestricted free agent punter and kicker Ricky Schmitt.
Schmitt converted two of three field goals and two extra points last season for the San Francisco 49ers during his first NFL game.
With Craig Hentrich retired and Rob Bironas still on the roster, Schmitt's best opportunity could come as a punter or on kickoffs.
Schmitt finished last season on injured reserve due to a hamstring injury.
Schmitt, 24, played collegiately at Shepherd University.
He has previous stints with the Arizona Cardinals, Pittsburgh Steelers and the Oakland Raiders.
