Titans sign third-rounder Rennie Curran, Sean Ryan

The Tennessee Titans have signed rookie third-round linebacker Rennie Curran and veteran free agent tight end Sean Ryan.

Curran received a four-year contract with a signing bonus in excess of $644,000 for a total base value of $2.43 million, according to a league source.

Curran was drafted 97th overall out of Georgia.

He recorded 298 career tackles and was a finalist for the Chuck Bednarik Award.

The first-team All-Southeastern Conference selection registered 6 1/2 career sacks, 24 tackles for losses, 34 quarterback pressures, two forced fumbles and one fumble recovery.

The Titans have reached deals with six of their nine draft picks.

Ryan has started 15 career games, appearing in 53, with 26 catches for 240 yards and two touchdowns.

The 6-foot-five-inch, 260-pounder spent last season with the Kansas City Chiefs, appearing in 10 games with eight starts while posting career-highs with 14 receptions, 135 receiving yards and two touchdown catches.

A former Dallas Cowboys fifth-round pick in the 2004 NFL draft, Ryan has also played for the New York Jets,  Miami Dolphins, New Orleans Saints and the San Francisco 49ers.
