Intense rainstorms affect Nashville region, Titans' stadium Aaron Wilson
The Tennessee Titans' stadium has been flooded due to massive rainstorms in the Nashville area.
According to the Tennessean, rain has flooded LP Field with water six feet high and nearly at the first row of seating.
And there's roughly six inches of water in the locker room on the field service level.
“I am certain there will be some sort of water damage to all areas of the field service level,” Titans spokesman Robbie Bohren said.
Parking lots adjacent to the field were completely submerged.
Some Titans fans were still attempting to renew season tickets before today's deadline.
The deadline has been extended and the team is instructing fans to not come to the stadium.
“There are more pressing issues in our community: life and death,” said Don MacLachlan, Titans executive vice president of administration and facilities. “We have had fans trying to call us and even trying to the stadium for fear of missing the deadline.”
The Titans' practice facility hasn't been damaged yet.
“Water rose to edge of the practice fields and the bubble but has fallen back some,” Bohren said.
