Toby Gerhart returns to practice

The Jacksonville Jaguars got their bell cow back at practice.

According to the team's website, running back Toby Gerhart was able to put the pads back on and get to work during Tuesday's session. He's been recovering the past week from a hip flexor injury.

Gerhart is expected to receive a large majority of the share of carries this season for the Jaguars. There isn't much experienced depth behind him as his backups include Jordan Todman, Denard Robinson and Storm Johnson.

With a passing game that isn't expected to do too much this season, the Jaguars will likely lean on a ball control oriented rushing attack, with Gerhart getting a lot of touches. Making sure Gerhart's healthy the remainder of the preseason will be important so that the Jaguars can ensure he's ready to go when official games are set to begin.
