Veteran running back LaDainian Tomlinson might make his decision tonight, and there are signs pointing toward him potentially signing with the New York Jets.

According to the New York Daily News, the Jets are in the lead for Tomlinson.

And since Tomlinson is leaning toward making a decision tonight and he's having dinner with the Jets' brass, he's expected to pick the Jets over the Minnesota Vikings.

Per the report, Tomlinson plans to stay in town at least through Saturday and is having dinner with general manager Mike Tannenbaum and coach Rex Ryan at Trump National Golf Club in New Jersey.

Tomlinson was cut by the San Diego Chargers this offseason and is regarded as a future Hall of Fame selection.

If I'm LT I would wait until Favre makes up his mind, Minnesota obviously won't be same team without him. If no Brett, I pack my bags and become a Jet.

Wow very enlightening comments. Whatever teams you root for, expect the Jets to beat them like a drum, with LT as our #3 RB.

If he isn't taking a huge pay cut then the Jets are are in trouble. If he is taking a huge pay cut then you have to wonder why he didn't just stay in SD and re-negotiate his contract.

Is this real reporting? I hope this isnt your real job, because not only is all that information speculative, but its false. LT was never going to decide on friday, he said so, and you put that he is leaning toward signing on friday. Get your facts straight or at least listen to what LT says before you write an article that is obviously made up, and was proven wrong the very next day. You at least say per the report before saying he is staying on Saturday when it was always his plan to leave Saturday morning. Is the New York Daily News more of a sensational paper or is it considered a real news source?
