Only the right team and right situation could bring him back to the NFL. Terry McCormick
New York Jets free agent running back LaDainian Tomlinson told Jim Trotter of Sports Illustrated that he is "95 percent retired."
What does that remaining five percent emcompass? It appears that Tomlinson would only return to the NFL if the right situation came along. That presumably would mean the chance to play meaningful snaps for a team that is a Super Bowl contender.
In Tomlinson's standout career as one of the best running backs of his generation, the only thing missing from his resume' is a Super Bowl, and that would probably be the one thing that could entice him to follow that five percent that is leaving the door ajar for another season of football.
