Bill Parcells isn’t going to ride out of retirement to the rescue of the New Orleans Saints.

It was reported this morning Parcells will not fill in on an interim basis for suspended coach Sean Payton. Now, Peter King of Sports Illustrated reports that retired coach Tony Dungy is also not interested in leading, temporarily, what could be a pretty good football team.

King reports Dungy is happy in retirement and will continue in his role on NBC’s “Football Night in America.” He also wants to be able to follow the career of his son Eric, who is a wide receiver at Oregon.

So, we’ve ruled out another prominent name. Before too long the Saints will come up with someone.
