Tight end Tony Scheffler has announced his retirement from the NFL due to the amount of concussions he's endured, according to the Associated Press.

Scheffler ha endured three concussions in the past four years. He was released from the Lions' organization due to this a year ago.

In his career, Scheffler had 3,207 yards and 22 touchdowns over eight years. He played four years each with the Broncos and Lions.
