Oakland Raiders assistant head coach Tony Sparano is leaving the coaching staff to take an offensive line coaching position with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers under Lovie Smith, according to the San Francisco Chronicle.

Sparano was under a one-year Oakland.

There was a disconnect between Raiders coach Dennis Allen, who's been retained by owner Mark Davis, and Raiders assistants. Davis wanted to only do a one-year extension instead of two-year pacts.

The other top assistants in Tampa are defensive coordinator Leslie Frazier and offensive coordinator Jeff Tedford.
