Top five rising prospects

Here are five prospects who are seeing their stock rise through the first half of the season…

JonesICONJones is a threat on all levels of the field.

5. CB Leonard Johnson: Iowa State
A well-built kid who lacks ideal height, but plays fast and I like his footwork and balance. Isn't a dynamic athlete, but can play some press and off coverage, and looks capable of getting playing time both on the outside and in the slot at the next level.

4. WR Dwight Jones: North Carolina
Really came into his own during the second half of the season in 2010. Runs well and accelerates quickly for a big receiver with natural fluidity to his game as well. Needs to improve as a route runner, but talent is there for this guy to be a play making starting wide out in the NFL.

3. OT Mike Adams: Ohio State
He's a talented kid with a big frame, long arms and natural movement skills. He can bend and if he can put it all together and continue to improve his footwork he should certainly mature into a starting caliber left tackle in the NFL.

2. CB Casey Hayward: Vanderbilt
A smart, productive corner who can make plays on the football. I don't think he's a guy who can consistently hold up in man on the outside in the NFL. However, looks like an ideal starter in a zone scheme where he doesn't have the consistently turn and run.

1. TE Coby Fleener: Stanford
An impressive pass catcher who can win both down the field and underneath vs. man coverage. Has the frame and flexibility to develop into a solid blocker as well and looks like a future starting caliber NFL TE.
