Truce between Cary Williams, Riley Cooper?
Philadelphia Eagles cornerback Cary Williams and wide receiver Riley Cooper clashed in practice last week and had to be separated by teammates.
Now, Williams told the Philadelphia Daily News that a truce has been worked out.
"We have talked," Williams said. "We want to build on our relationship."
Cooper used a racial slur, the N-word, to a black security guard during the Kenny Chesney concert this summer.
Cooper apologized, was fined and underwent counseling.
And Cooper, who said the confrontation with Williams wasn't because of the racial incident, has said he's moved on.
Williams acknowledged sayng to Cooper during the argument that he's not the N-word Cooper should mess with.
"It was just two competitors getting after it," Williams said.
At least they've worked out their differences now, apparently.
