Former Auburn head coach Tommy Tuberville's son, Tucker, will walk on this season as a quarterback at the school.
The son of the former Tigers boss walked on at Texas Tech last fall before transferring to Cincinnati in the spring after his father left to take over the Bearcats' job from Butch Jones, who left Cincy to become the head coach at Tennessee. A Class of 2011 product, the 6-foot, 196-pound Tuberville led Frenship High (Wolfforth, Texas) to a 10-1 record in 2011.
Tuberville will sit out the 2013 season due to NCAA transfer rules.
Of course, Tommy Tuberville resigned from Auburn after the 2008 campaign. He was 85-40 in his decade with Auburn, including a 13-0 season in 2004 when the Tigers finished No. 2 in the nation and won the SEC title for the first time in 15 years.
