Mike Mularkey had hoped to convince Mel Tucker to remain on as the Jacksonville Jaguars defensive coordinator, even though Tucker, the team's interim coach, lost out to Mularkey for the head coaching position.

Tucker has decided to remain with the Jaguars as defensive coordinator, according to the Florida Times-Union. Earlier this week, Tucker had interviewed to be the defensive coordinator of the Minnesota Vikings, but will stay put with the Jags.

In addition to that, Bob Bratkowski, who was the quarterbacks coach for the Atlanta Falcons working with Mularkey, will come to Jacksonville as the Jaguars' new offensive coordinator.
