The supplemental draft also came and went without a single name being called. But two players came off the board in the seventh round.
The Chicago Bears, who had their West Coast scout Marty Barrett run the pro day workout of Harvey Unga, drafted the running back from BYU in round seven. The Dallas Cowboys, using the 30th pick in the round, selected Illinois defensive tackle Josh Price-Brent.
Unga is a big back who could complement what the Bears have in Matt Forte and Chester Taylor. He’ll immediately put pressure on veteran Garrett Wolfe and Kahlil Bell, who were expected to compete for the third running back job.
Price-Brent will have a chance to fit into the rotation in Dallas.
