In a tweet from Brandon Jacobs retweeted by Sports Illustrated's Doug Farrar, it sounds as if Tampa Bay Buccaneers kicker Lawrence Tynes is having a serious battle on his hands with the MRSA infection.

Per Jacobs' tweet, Tynes is having a PICC line (tube) run to his heart to try and fight off the staph infection.

Jacobs and Tynes, of course, were teammates with the New York Giants.

And just as Jacobs said in his tweet, prayers go out to Tynes to make a full recovery.
