Arizona Cardinals cornerback Tyrann Mathieu has made great progress in his recovery from last season's knee injury.

Coming off a torn ACL and LCL, Mathieu said he is running at about "60, 70 percent, via the team's official website. Cardinals assistant athletic trainer Chad Cook said Mathieu is getting close to resuming football activities.

Training camp begins later this month so it's unknown whether Mathieu will be ready by the beginning. But being back by the first week of the regular season does appear to be something possible at this time.
