Has visited Vikings, 49ers Aaron Wilson
University of North Carolina tight end Ryan Taylor is visiting the Houston Texans today and the Green Bay Packers on Tuesday, according to a league source with knowledge of the situation.
He has previously worked out for the Kansas City Chiefs and the Cleveland Browns.
And he has had visits with the Minnesota Vikings and the San Francisco 49ers. He has an upcoming visit with the Seattle Seahawks.
At his Pro Day workout, Taylor ran the 40-yard dash in 4.65 seconds with a 34-inch vertical leap at 254 pounds.
A special-teams captain for the Tar Heels, Taylor offers positional versatility because he can play fullback or H-back and is regarded as a physical, aggressive player.
Taylor had a knee injury earlier in his career for the Tar Heels.
Taylor had 19 special-teams tackles two seasons ago, also operating as a reserve linebacker.
Against North Carolina State in 2008, Taylor played tight end, linebacker and on special teams in the same game.
His stock appears to be on the rise.
