Testing is a contentious issue Aaron Wilson

In the wake of the report about a new human growth hormone test that's regarded as a step forward in performance-enhancing drug testing, the president of the NFL Players Association is skeptical.

The players' union is opposed to blood tests in general.

And NFL Players Association president Kevin Mawae told the Associated Press that the current test isn't completely reliable.

The HGH dispute figures to be an issue in collective bargaining agreement discussions.

"The testing of HGH is a CBA issue that has been discussed on a number of different occasions," Mawae said in an e-mail. "The PA and the players of the NFL will always be in favor of fair and competitive play without the use of performance-enhancing drugs."

Mawae emphasized that the union is in agreement with the league that performance-enhancing drug use can't be tolerated.

"Quite frankly, players who use PEDs cheat themselves, cheat their peers, and cheat the game," Mawae said. "We are well aware of the efforts in developing a reliable test for HGH, and to this point, understand that the test that is available is not completely reliable."

At this point, HGH will remain a divisive issue between the NFL and the players' union.

"Mawae emphasized that the union is in agreement with the league that performance-enhancing drug use can't be tolerated"

What he's subtly also saying is that in this era of "guilty until proven innocent" by the media, bloggers, everyone w/a piehole, that the union wants to ensure that false tests don't destroy players reputations, and credibility unnecessarily as this countries great citizens wouldn't leap to conclusions based on testing results that may be somewhat insconsistent - hhmmm, think there was a Governor in Texas that became a president that loved the execution chamber to sort out his mistakes as well, so understand Maawe has a legitimate issue with the ability to not throw players onto the bonfire of the USA witchhunts that go on like prarie fires...

It isn't that they have a test, it's how far back it could go. The plan is upon making it an item to work around as part of a sports medicine schedule, not to remove it from the game. Ask the NBA, MLB, etc.

I understand the privacy concerns. But at some point the fans are going to say, "enough, if you haven't done anything wrong, what's the worry?"

The union will say it's a conspiracy but the truth is no one wants his team to know what he's really doing. That's a joke because these players are the highest priced fixed asset the teams have.

They're lucky they haven't gotten to a hair test. Those can show YEARS of usage of EVERYTHING.

Sterling sliver jewelry, particularly bracelets, is a staple of fashionable women everywhere. This type of pandora beads is durable yet so beautiful. The versatility is outstanding; it goes with every outfit whether with jeans or with a designer gown. For instance, movie star Sandra Bullock wore a silver cuff bracelet to the 2009 MTV Movie Awards in May 2009. A silver cuff bracelet makes an audacious statement, yet it is lightweight and is flexible so that it can fit a variety of wrist sizes. Another popular type of bracelets is the silver charm bracelet. There are many shapes and designs for the charms that are attached to the bracelet.
