Vanderbilt may be going the NFL route to replace James Franklin following his departure to Penn State.

The Southeastern Conference university is going to interview St. Louis Rams offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer today, according to NFL Network.

Schottenheimer has a previous background running the New York Jets' offense ande made two AFC championship game appearances.

Vanderbilt is also apparently interested in Indianapolis Colts offensive coordinator Pep Hamilton.
