As far as we know, Mike Singletary kept his pants on this time.
It was at halftime of the game that he banished tight end Vernon Davis to the locker room that the San Francisco 49ers dropped his britches in the locker room to better explain to his team where the visiting Seattle Seahawks were giving it to the Niners.
This time, Singletary escorted Davis and wide receiver Michael Crabtree to the locker room during practice earlier today. CSN Bay Area reports that the players were engaged in a “heated conversation” when Samurai Mike stepped in and took them off.
Per the report, Singletary re-emerged with Davis about 10 minutes later. Shortly after that, Crabtree returned to the field. Both Davis and Crabtree watched the remainder of practice apart from one another.
“They were both wrong,” Singletary said afterward, refusing to shed more light on the situation.
Per the report, Singletary spoke to the team as a whole in the locker room after practice. Typically, he addresses his players on the field following practice.
