Victor Cruz wants his own … reality television show

Victor Cruz turned down a chance to join “Dancing With the Stars” more than a year ago.

Now, the wide receiver is angling for something potentially bigger. Cruz wants his own reality television show, according to James Desborough of the New York Daily News. Cruz has certainly had time to cook up ideas for life off the field this offseason. The Giants tendered him as a restricted free agent but he has not signed the offer and is not participating in the club’s voluntary offseason program.

“It is going to be something that is very unique to me and very unique to what I like, and like to do,” Cruz said. “We are still fielding some requests, so we will see how it goes — the timing has to be right, and I have got to squeeze in some training in there before the season starts.”

Whatever Cruz does, he’ll definitely need to leave time for football. The football public has been largely sympathetic to his cause the past couple seasons as he angles for a big pay day. If he’s a reality television star, that could change. The team has remained optimistic a deal will be done but that hasn’t happened to this point.
