Minnesota Vikings linebacker Erin Henderson was arrested for drunken driving again, his second arrest in the past six weeks.
This could spell the end of Henderson's tenure with the Vikings.
In a statement the Vikings said they're "aware of the matter involving Erin Henderson. We are continuing to gather information and will have further comment at the appropriate time."
According to ESPN, Henderson was booked into the Carver County Jail on Wednesday after the NFL player refused to submit to a sobriety test. He faces four DWI charges, including a second-degree charge for refusing a test.
Henderson was arrested in November for drunken driving and possession of a controlled substance.
He was absent from the team for several days for personal reasons, according to Vikings coach Leslie Frazier and Henderson.
Henderson lost his middle linebacker spot because of the first arrest, but returned to start at middle linebacker in the Vikings' final game after a high ankle sprain ended Audie Cole's season, and talked on Monday about the steps he felt he took to mature after his first arrest.
"I think I grew leaps and bounds as a player and as a person as well," Henderson said Monday, in reference to the first arrest. "You start to learn a lot about yourself when things can go wrong or bad, if you're willing to try to learn, if you're willing to look in the mirror and figure things out and I think I was able to do that."
