Vikings' Jerome Simpson arrested for DWI charge

Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Jerome Simpson is in trouble with the law.

He was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated after refusing a Breathalyzer, according to USA Today.

Simpson was booked into the Hennepin County Jail at 5:39 a.m.

It's unclear if this arrest will affect Simpson's probation status that stems from a guilty plea to a felony drug charge.

“The Vikings are aware of the matter involving Jerome Simpson," the Vikings said in a statement. "We are continuing to gather information and will have further comment at the appropriate time."
