The Minnesota Vikings had been holding out hope that Percy Harvin would return this season with coach Leslie Frazier dodging repeated questions about the playmaker during his press conference earlier today.
Harvin is done now as the Vikings announced he has been placed on season-ending injured reserve with an ankle injury. Harvin has been sidelined a month and there are multiple reports that it’s more than a sprain, that Harvin is dealing with a torn ligament.
It’s a crippling blow to an offense that has struggled passing the ball, especially since Harvin went out. Harvin finishes with 62 receptions for 677 yards in nine games, big production for an offense that simply doesn’t have productive wide receivers.
