Vikings work out Javon Walker, Brandon Jones

Looks like the Minnesota Vikings are trying to cover themselves in the event that wide receiver Percy Harvin has to miss some time.

Harvin has been released from the hospital after collapsing on the sideline at practice Thursday and being rushed for medical attention. He was hospitalized overnight and he’s missed pretty much all of training camp.

In the meantime, the Vikings brought in veteran wide receivers Brandon Jones, released earlier this week by San Francisco, and Javon Walker for a tryout. Both players were given physicals. It’s uncertain whether the club plans to sign one or both. Obviously, the Vikings need to proceed like they are not going to have Harvin around for some time.
