Vilma not ruled out for Saints' opener

Jonathan Vilma did not play in any preseason games for the New Orleans Saints, and had arthroscopic surgery on his knee in order to prevent swelling.

But Vilma is improving and hasn't been ruled out for the Saints' regular-season opener against the Atlanta Falcons on Sept. 8, says the Baton Rouge Advocate.
