The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are auditioning veteran NFL tight end Visanthe Shiancoe today, according to a league source.
Shiancoe, 33, played in four games for the New England Patriots last season with no catches.
For his career, Shiancoe has caught 243 passes for 2,677 yards and 27 touchdowns in a decade in the NFL.
Shiancoe has previous stints with the Minnesota Vikings and New York Giants.
The former Morgan State tight end was a Giants third-round draft pick in the 2003 draft.
The Buccaneers are also working out veteran running back Peyton Hillis as they seek depth at key positions.
