Abilene Christian wide receiver Edmond Gates visits the Denver Broncos on Wednesday, according to a league source with knowledge of the situation.
He has previously visited the Baltimore Ravens, New York Jets, Dallas Cowboys, Minnesota Vikings
Gates has previously worked out for the Cleveland Browns.
The 6-foot-1, 194-pounder ran the 40-yard dash in 4.37 seconds at the NFL scouting combine.
Gates is from the same school that produced Chicago Bears speedy wide receiver Johnny Knox.
As a senior, Gates caught 66 passes for 1,182 yards and 13 touchdowns and was named All-American and All-Lone Star Conference. Gates caught 49 passes for 702 yards and five touchdowns as a junior.
Gates turns 25 in June and had a rough childhood with his father serving time in prison for murder.
He's graded anywhere from the middle to later rounds by analysts.
