Abilene Christian receiver meets with team officials Aaron Wilson
Abilene Christian wide receiver Edmond Gates has visited the Baltimore Ravens, Dallas Cowboys, New York Jets and the Minnesota Vikings, according to a league source with knowledge of the situation.
He has a visit with the Denver Broncos later this month.
Gates has previously worked out for the Cleveland Browns.
The 6-foot-1, 194-pounder ran the 40-yard dash in 4.37 seconds at the NFL scouting combine.
Gates is from the same school that produced Chicago Bears speedy wide receiver Johnny Knox.
As a senior, Gates caught 66 passes for 1,182 yards and 13 touchdowns and was named All-American and All-Lone Star Conference. Gates caught 49 passes for 702 yards and five touchdowns as a junior.
Gates turns 25 in June and had a rough childhood with his father serving time in prison for murder.
He's graded anywhere from the middle to later rounds by analysts.
