Report says Browns had told him they would not draft QB. Terry McCormick
If all the reports are accurate, Colt McCoy should be concerned about his future as a Cleveland Brown.
The Browns, of course, chose Oklahoma State's Brandon Weeden with their second first-round pick of the evening on Thursday, grabbing him 22nd overall.
That led to a question of GM Tom Heckert about the possibility that McCoy, who is 6-15 as a starter the past two seasons, could be trade bait.
"It's something we'll talk about tonight and tomorrow," Heckert admitted Thursday night, according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer.
Also, Adam Schefter of ESPN reported the Browns had apparently told McCoy they would not be drafting a quarterback in the first round.
Earlier in the off-season, the Browns told McCoy they would suround him with talent. Maybe in hindsight that meant they were going to send him to a team with a deeper roster than Cleveland's.
