Former Notre Dame head coach Charlie Weis has accepted the same position at Kansas and will be introduced at a Friday press conference.
The Florida offensive coordinator reportedly interviewed with Kansas athletic director Sheahon Zenger on Wednesday and the announcement was made late Thursday afternoon.
Weis, who was the highest-paid assistant in Florida history, was fired at Notre Dame after going 35-27 from 2005-09. He took the Irish to two BCS Bowl games as well as the Hawaii Bowl during his tenure.
