Welker uncertain of his future

With the Patriots' 28-13 loss to the Baltimore Ravens, one of the questions now in the off-season for New England will be what to do about Wes Welker.

Welker played under the franchise tag in 2012 and could become an unrestricted free agent unless the Patriots sign him to a long-term deal or franchise him again. Either way, it means a big money commitment from the club, which has had a history at times of letting players walk away once they reach a certain age - even if they are still productive like Welker has been.

For his part, Welker was still digesting Sunday's AFC Championship loss and not ready to think about where he will play football in 2013 yet.

"I'm really not worried about it at all," Welker told ComcastSports New England. "Tough loss. Just try to get over it at the moment."
